Welcome to 1st Bistre Scout Group

Hello and welcome to the 1st Bistre Scout Group!

We’re right in the heart of Buckley, bringing together young adventurers from Squirrels and Beavers to Cubs, Scouts, and our Fusion Explorer unit.

Here at 1st Bistre, we’re big believers in diversity, inclusivity, and the potential of every child. As part of the UK’s largest mixed youth organisation, we’re equally passionate about welcoming boys and girls, valuing our differences, and learning skills for life together. We’re creating a place where everyone belongs and where everyone grows.

Our uniformed group is fuelled by the spirit and dedication of volunteer leaders who create a world of over 200 activities, from traditional camping and hiking to fun community projects. More than just fun and games, we’re helping our members develop lifelong skills, friendships, and a love for the local community.

Are you ready to join the adventure? Whether you’re interested in enrolling your child or volunteering your time, we can’t wait to welcome you to our scouting family!

So come on, let’s make a difference, right here in Buckley. We are the 1st Bistre Scout Group, and your adventure starts here!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
